FEAR TORMENTING YOU?

Fear is rampant in the world today!

Every newscast proclaims the problems and evil in the world.

What should we do?

God is bigger than all the problems in the world!

What we focus on gains strength! What gains strength is what we act on!

What we act on happens! You get what you focus on -

whether FEAR or FAITH!

Freedom from fear comes from trusting the Lord.

Proverbs 1:33 says "but

he who LISTENS to me shall live securely, and shall be at EASE from DREAD OF EVIL."

I emphasized the words LISTEN because the Bible says in Romans 10:17 that

FAITH comes from HEARING and HEARING by the WORD OF GOD."

If we want to have faith, we need to hear His words, and act on them.

John 4:18 it says,

"There is NO FEAR in love, but perfect LOVE

casts out FEAR, because

FEAR involves punishment,

(some translations say "torment"), and the one who

FEARS is NOT PERFECTED IN LOVE."

God is LOVE!

When I'm fearful, I take the Bible and do a word search in the area

I'm worried about.

Then faith comes to believe God for the answer to that problem.

Then, I commit it to the Lord and pray that God's LOVE,

LIGHT and LIFE be revealed to me. King David said in the Psalms

that the Lord would ENLIGHTEN his DARKNESS.

Remember LIGHT is more powerful than

darkness. LOVE is more powerful then hate,

and GOD's LIFE is more powerful than death.
