What are you on this earth for?

I thought I would share with you all...
thoughts from some studying I did this weekend:

I'm reading John Tesh's book "Intelligence for Your Life".
He said in his book... "What on earth are you here for?...Rick Warren asks...'You were made for
a mission. ...not to wander around ...or to live for yourself.'"

Proverbs 11:28 says in the Message Bible:
"A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stump; a God-shaped life is a flourishing tree."

Warren goes on to say..."Between this day and the next you will give your life to something:
The decision on what will shape your DESTINY." (Emphasis mine..lol)

He goes on to say.."What is the deepest desire of your heart?"
He said to pursue your deepest desire..not happiness."
He says..."If you can't answer this question you're living
as a reaction to what happens to you...
instead of living your purpose and passion.
What makes you come alive? Do you know your
deepest desire? Have you accepted your deepest desire?"

Harold Thurman Quote:
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs.
Ask yourself what it is that makes you come alive, and
then go do that. Because what the world needs
are men and woman who have come alive!"

Romans 12: 1-2 says "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which
is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what
is that good, acceptable and perfect will of God.

I believe the Lord has already put within us
His passion and purpose and
it is that which makes us COME ALIVE!

I pray you will ask yourself this day: "What is my deepest desire?
What is it that makes me come alive?" and then pursue it!

My purpose: To bring glory to God through bearing much fruit
and sharing Jesus with the world.

Three action steps:
1) Pray daily
2) Study, journal and meditate on the Bible daily for at least 30 minutes or more.
3) Share Jesus' love and words with at least one person per day - online or in person.

If you have never received Jesus into your heart - do it today - it will be the
best decision you'll ever make. :)
